Fairly quiet

Spent some time today researching flights for my trip. Discovered that if I leave a day later and stay a day later I can save $100, split between my friend and I. Dropped her a quick line, waiting to hear back if that will work as well for her. I think it manages to avoid her work commitments, and I'm sure I can adjust my time off to suit. Apent $6.34 on takeout food today, $1.25 drink. Spent $16.50 for ordered Avon yesterday, something I buy once or twice a year. All products were substantially reduced, and on the "buy when you get a deal" list for some time. Spent money the previous day on ms, but all that will be repaid. I also made an error in the pay for each of the shops... I get $9, not $8. That should mean $91 for that company, another $60 for another company, and potentially another $18 from yet another compan over the weekend if I'm selected. I won't be surprised if I'm not chosen, as I'm not sure I've met the shop rotation.
Life feeling pretty bland. Planned a lunch for a work person for Saturday. Fun trying to make everyone happy, and still end up at a reasonably frugal place, but I think we managed it. We are getting together to celebrate a coworker's birthday. She turned 50 last year, but asked us not to do anything then as her dad was extremely ill. He died several days later, so a good call. Spoke with cousin Jan who planned to help with garage sale, but now her mom is critical again. sigh

Kinda of a middlin' day here. Holly is with her pa Frown She did seem awfully excited to see him, and that makes me feel a bit better. He's promised to see to her meds, etc. Also found out why she was so traumatized. No wonder the poor dear had cystitis, or however that's spelled! I'm not surprised that she got sick. She's 11, but thinks she's 4. Full of energy, ready for a walk or a ride anytime! I'm going to miss her more than I want to admit. Took her "dad" out for lunch today, mostly because I wanted to tell him how important it is that he give her meds when she should get them and until they are gone. He couldn't run out of restaurant and leave... I had the car keys. Felt a bit like dirty pool, but I paid for lunch $12.92. Love those b1g1 coupons. I seem to have been on a spending streak. I planned on spending ~$150-200 to get me in good shape clotheswise from now until November, and ended up spending $97.83 at JCPenney on Sunday. There are 2 items I'm not sure I love, so those will go back. I haven't had clothes that fit me well or made me feel good for too long. No reason to settle... I'll just be wasting my $$ otherwise. Actually I have quite a few returns to make, and will try to make time for that this week. I did have Roadrunner installed over the weekend. I had a mystery shop that took 3 hours to put in because I kept getting kicked off the ISP. No more fooling around! I have a $60 shop on Friday, and 4 $8 shops this week, another 5 $8 shops next week. I also ended up getting much more cable than I'm used to. I was only getting the local channels, using cable because I'm in a valley and nothing comes in otherwise. Also paid $10 for lawn care today... the grass was getting really high and my asthma makes it impossible for me to mow. I also spent $1.25 on a beverage. I hate this. Someone has been helping themselves to my drinks in the fridge at work. 6 days in a row, and I think it's one of the cleaners. I also spent $10.28 and $13.09 in unrecorded gas purchases. Drove 55 miles for ms today.
